The State of the Freight Forwarding Industry, its Technology & Services 2016, report sheds light on the transport industry in Zimbabwe with the ultimate objective to assess the challenges, opportunities and prospects of the sector.The report provides detailed insights into freight forwarding services offered by different freight forwarders in the country including an overview of freight forwarding business. Traffic has been steadily on the increase in the Zimbabwean freight forwarding industry, this can be attributed to a number of factors. These include: growth in exports to other countries, growth in imported materials, growth in exports to the region and continued growth in the usage of the roads.Despite the general rise in traffic, there are key challenges impacting the sector. These include importation of goods through inadequate modes of transport and inadequate road infrastructure.
