Durgakund Mandir located in Durgakund of Varanasi is the temple of Kushmanda Devi, the fourth form of Maa Durga. Thousands of years old, this temple was built by King Sudarshan of Kashi. The mention of this temple also comes in Kashi Khand. It is a belief of this temple that for the entire 9 days of Navratri, a crowd gathers in this temple to worship the mother. Nine goddesses are worshiped separately, but in this temple devotees who worship each of the nine goddesses come. Enemies are destroyed by seeing the mother.
